The Wedding Salon Team loves pictures. We love looking at wedding photos for inspiration whether it be amazing table decor, a glamorous wedding gown, or a couple’s first kiss as husband and wife. Pictures tell the story of a wedding – the journey and the romance. Every Monday, we will share photographs from some of our favorite weddings with you. We hope you draw inspiration and ideas that you can one day apply to your own wedding.
Pictures from Barbara and Michael’s wedding shows a story of personalization as it was completely customized from start to finish. Amanda Picone Photography (http://www.amandapicone.com) captured the details of their wedding wonderfully revealing how much personal touches enhances a couple’s special day. The wedding colors started with the gorgeous letterpress invitations from Invitedink (www.invitedink.com), each delivered in its own box with a crystal adornnebt.
Barbara’s bouquet was also personalized with the addition of her grandmother’s broach and rosary. Her something blue was her gorgeous blue ring, a gift from her father. The bouquet itself was a beautiful memorial to her grandmother and father–Lillies because her grandmother’s name was Lilly, and Sweet Peas for her father, as that was his nickname for her. Orchids and roses were also in the mix, as they are her favorite flowers.
The bride’s dress is a custom Ines DiSanto from Bridal Reflections (www.bridalreflections.com), the veil is from Boutique De Voile (www.boutiquedevoile.com), and the tiara was created by Glam Gal (www.glamgal.com).
The ceremony was gorgeous, held at Planting Fields Arboretum (http://www.plantingfields.org).
The reception, held at the Bridgeview Yacht Club, in Island Park, NY (www.bridgeviewyachtclub.com), was the epitome of personalization! Barbara created an H monogram (for her new last name!) which was used throughout the wedding in the form of custom embroidered fabric napkins and pillows, a gobo projected onto the floor, and an absolutely stunning Swarovski monogram, which hung above their sweetheart table. The walls were lit up in blue, as was the cocktail lounge area which also had lovely white couches (with the blue custom H embroidered pillows). The tables had pink lighting underneath, glowing through white linens.
Flowers by Burton (www.flowersbyburton.com) designed the beautiful flower arrangements.
Lighting, lounge pieces, bar rental, and staging are by NY Lounge Decor (www.nyloungedecor.com).
The custom Swarovski Crystal Monogram was designed by Barbie Hill Designs (www.barbiehilldesigns.etsy.com).
The cake by Sweet Things (www.sweetthingsoceanside.com) was also decked out in bling, including a tiara cake topper.
The night finished off with a candy bar containing Barbara and Michael’s favorites, and – as guests were leaving – they were greeted by a New York hot dog and pretzel cart, also containing sliders and fries.
It was a perfect wedding because they made it their own. Barbara and Michael personalized every detail of their wedding making it one of the greatest days of their lives.
