Wedding Planning 101 says that even the smallest of details can go a long way to help make your big day unique. However, most of us forget to focus on the real first impression that your guests will get before you even head down the aisle – The Rehearsal Dinner!
The dinner is a great way to relax with your family and friends, see everyone and let loose a little. However, it’s often looked at as an added expense that may be a bit difficult to swallow once the dust has settled from all of that check writing. One way to bring down the costs and make it look great? DIY!
Check out some of these fun (and super easy) ideas we found:
This is a great opportunity to get creative with your invitations. A lot can be done with some ink cartridges, Photoshop and your home computer, so think outside the box here. Do you want your dinner to follow a theme, such as “A Seaside Celebration” or “A Midsummer’s Night Dream?” Do you want a classic dinner party that mimics the feel of your wedding or an easygoing Backyard Bar-B-Q? Pick an idea and have fun with it!
Simple and elegant, this floating candle centerpiece is also inexpensive. Have your favorite shade of daisies shipped to you from Costco, order a bulk supply of candles and low glass bowls online and grab some water when you arrive at the restaurant. Insta-pretty!
Everyone loves to take a piece of the evening home with them. Why not have fun with the favors? Edible favors that include candy, chocolate or cookies are all the rage right now. Make your own using your computer (to print out personalized stickers), Oriental Trading for bulk varieties of your favorite candy (in your wedding colors, of course) and even a trip to Dollar Tree to grab these adorable clear-topped tins and some ribbon for the edges. Enlist the help of a bridesmaid and you’ll be done in no time.
Have fun at your Rehearsal Dinner!
