I just came back from my friend Lizzie’s wedding in San Francisco over the 4th of July weekend! I was so surprised by all the amazing DIY projects she took on, that turned out perfect.
Her wedding was held at the gorgeous Golden Gate Yacht Club with incredible views of Alcatraz!
There were no real need for a lot of flowers or even a chuppah in the ceremony area because the ocean views were spectacular.
Lizzie created her Bouquet and her Centerpieces. She woke up early the day before her wedding and put them together with her Bridesmaids.
She told me she wanted to incorporate wheat into the men’s Boutonnieres and it looked fabulous!
An Italian wedding tradition, wheat symbolizes fertility.
I loved her color choices of simple blues and orange. Her elegant cake incorporated these gorgeous colors.
She worked with the theme of the Yacht Club with her Escort Cards
Lizzie loved doing things herself for her special day, as it allowed her to really show her personality in her own wedding.
She did mention to be careful not to take too much on as the last thing a bride would want to do, is be overwhelmed in the days leading up to her big day.
