When it comes to deciding upon wedding invitations, there are many different aspects to consider. The correct time to send out save-the-dates, choosing a color, the correct wording and much more! The team from The Village Invites recently shared some tips at our Wedding Bootcamp event that are key when picking out your invitations!
Mixing and matching patterns and color is a hot new trend that we love! Using one color is definitely a big money saver – however, the invitations above overlaid two colors which allowed for a third color shade at no extra cost!
You should find what expresses your aesthetic, style and personality and put that into your invite. Even if a solid color is all that you want, finding a fun, flirty or romantic font, can be all you need to make your invitations represent you.
Using just black and white ink and a classic font will keep the cost of invitations down, but the invitations will still look beautiful while showcasing your personal style.
When is the right time to send ‘Save- the-Dates?’ It all depends on when and where your wedding is. It is important to keep in mind the planning that your guests will have to do, but three to five months is a good span of time.
Suggestions of places you would recommend is a fun extra to include with your invitations. It will give your guests another thing to look forward to when coming into town for your special day.
Another trend we love, especially for a Destination Wedding, is the Wedding Weekend event card. This is a really great way to keep your weekend in order and have your guests know exactly what events are going on before the day of your wedding.
