Kiki de Montparnasse Bootcamp Recap

Earlier this month we hosted our Bootcamp at Kiki de Montparnasse for eager brides-to-be looking for some fabulous ideas for their wedding day. The newly engaged had a chance to meet one-on-one with some of the best vendors in the New York area and ask questions about what to look for when booking  for a wedding. Along with Kiki de Montaparnasse we had Anthony Vazquez Photography, Aruba Tourism Authority, Ideal Ensembles, Jamella Day, Laser Cosmetica, Pallini Limoncello, LertaVu, and Taylor Creative Inc.

We hosted a Q&A where future brides were able to ask questions and tips for planning their wedding! Additionally, each company gave some amazing tips to our lucky brides.  Below is a recap of the highlights from the night!

Kiki de Montparnasse: They focus on the ‘Art of Romance’ and offer VIP parties, bachelorette parties and even parties for men! They told us to remember that it doesn’t cost a lot of money to celebrate love! They can also help you build your perfect romantic wardrobe that’s a little outside the norm!

Anthony Vazquez Photography: Anthony (he’s worked with the Jonas Brothers and even photographed a recent Yankee wedding, hint hint, he married Joanna Garcia)  told us that when booking a photographer you want to ask for a copy of the high resolution photographs. Also, your photographer should be giving you a disc of your photos so you can reprint some yourself to save money. If they don’t want to give you that, he said don’t hire them. Also, if you want to lower the cost of your wedding photography, try to minimize the expansion of you day.

Aruba Tourism Authority: Charlie told us that it’s important that when booking your honeymoon or destination wedding that you use a travel agent, that way if anything goes wrong you have someone to follow up for you and that people listen to them because their future business depends on it. Also, many people think that you pay more when you book through a travel agent, but you don’t. Many times they can find you better deals than you can! Keep in mind that April 20 to December 15th is the best dates to travel because hotel rates are 40% lower during these months.

Ideal Ensembles: They told us that some of the trends with music are playing contemporary music on classical instruments and that a micro-trend was writing your own arrangement of the song. Before you book a musician he said to look around and see the range offered in your area.   Be careful with vendors who offer a big discount…you get what you pay for.

Stay tuned for what the other vendors had to say tomorrow!
