The Kende Trio, Carmen Santorelli Photography & YSL at Bergforf Goodman

Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the rest or our incredible speakers that joined us this past Monday at our Bootcamp hosted by Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier! We learned so much valuable information in one night that we’ve had to stretch this out over the course of a very busy week.  I’m going to share with you what The Kende Trio, Carmen Santorelli Photography and Yves Saint Laurent at Bergdorf Goodman had to tell our brides!

The Kende Trio is a classical string ensemble that is conservatory trained. They told us that music should be an organic outgrowth and that the ceremony is not the place for funky music but you want to remain true to who you are. They are seeing that more brides are having a string ensemble playing during the first 2 hours of the reception. People like quiet music during dinner and it also gives people a chance to talk. Another big trend is having live musicians playing along with a DJ; this allows you to have a variety and allows the DJ and ensemble to exchange ideas!

Carmen Santorelli spoke with us about the trends she has been seeing in wedding photography! Photojournalism is the most popular right now and it gives you a more candid approach. Carmen told us that you need to tell your photographer upfront what type of photos you want. Building a relationship with your photographer is also very important. You need to get to know your photographer and learn to love them. Carmen told us about her 4 P’s; personality, professionalism, price and pictures. You must think about all of these when picking a wedding photographer.

We had the incredible team from Yves Saint Laurent at Bergdorf Goodman tell us what is important with makeup and hair on your big day! They have been seeing a trend of brides going back to the glamorous 30’s and 40’s looks. Brides want to look clean, fresh and vibrant! Just like the relationship that you are building with your vendors you need to build an important one with you makeup artist. They need to be able to keep you entertained on your big day as yes,t  here might be some stress! Make sure you do a trial and if you’re not happy about it you need to speak up. You want to be able to look back at your wedding photographs and say that you looked current, your wedding was wonderful and that you felt like the princess belle of your ball!

A big thank you as well to the team from Yves Saint Laurent for the amazing goodies that our brides took home!

Last but certainly not least, a very special thank you to the amazing team from Pallini Limoncello for all the delicious Pallini Bellinis. Yes, Pallini favors are a HUGE trend for Summer 2011. Amazing as always!
