Your Design Invitation

Your wedding invitations are the perfect way to make a lasting impression and the first impression of your wedding. You are introducing your theme, style, and ambiance to guests and showing them that your wedding will be unlike any they’ve ever been to. Here are some invitations that reflect different wedding themes and their designs.

Black and white works best for traditional weddings. You can also consider gray and brown but a two-tone color palette will work best. Light fonts like a cursive sans serif works best and simple calligraphy. Monograms add an unexpected touch and are on trend right now.

Modern themed weddings let you have fun with colors, fonts, and styles. It should reflect your theme- an outdoor wedding with tons of flowers should include them on the invitation, a barn wedding might have recycled paper and nature colors (green, brown, yellow, orange, etc.), or a color palette they will see throughout the wedding and reception.

Vintage wedding themes seem simple but it is important to not only remain consistent with your colors, style, and font but consistent with the time period your chose. A 1950’s wedding invitation will look different than a Great Gatsby style wedding invitation. Do your research for this one- colors and font will play a huge part in choosing the overall design.

You want guests to feel like the destination wedding is beginning before they’ve even arrived. Use elements of your destination wedding like local culture, the setting (beach, mountain, etc.), and/or traveling its self.

Nature gives you endless inspiration so use it to your advantage. Whether everything will be covered in spring time flowers or deep in the woods, let your invitations reflect your location.

It may seem like you are swimming in an endless sea of options but remember to talk to your invitation designer and wedding planner, they can give you the best advice for coordinating your invitations to your theme.
