Ashley’s Sweet Beginnings
Ashley’s passion and love for the baking & pastry arts began early in life with decorating speciality cakes. Since the age of 14, Ashley has been designing and customizing unique cakes and pastries for all special orders.
In 2010 Ashley was accepted into early admissions to the World’s Premier Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
Since Graduating in 2013 with her Bachelor’s of Professional Studies degree in Baking & Pastry Arts Management she has applied not only her knowledge and skill of the pastry arts but her passion, drive and creativity to design each and every special occasion order to meet her clients visions.
In 2014 Ashley’s Sweet Beginnings Bakery Cafe Opened her doors with the concept of creating stunning and exquisite Cakes to make your Wedding day dreams become a reality. Ashley herself will sit down with the bride and groom to design a Wedding cake that represents the amazing couple.

Charm City Cakes
WE DON’T MAKE CAKES-WE MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE.
When his dream of slaying on the guitar in a rock band wasn’t paying the bills, Chef Duff Goldman turned to his talents as a classically trained pastry chef and metal craftsman and founded Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, MD in 2002. Duff and his intrepid team of cake decorators churned out cakes the world had never seen before: cakes with sound, cakes with smoke, cakes with motorized moving components, life-sized baby elephant cakes- no cake was too crazy to tackle.
It wasn’t long before Charm City Cakes caught the eye of the Food Network where the hit reality cake decorating series Ace of Cakes was born. Our Baltimore and Los Angeles bakeries (founded in 2011) have had the pleasure of making our awesome clients’ cake dreams come true for over a decade now- we LOVE what we do!
The Knot
When husband-and-wife team Carley Roney and David Liu cofounded The Knot, they had one mission in mind – to help other couples easily navigate every wedding planning detail, both big and small. After all, they’ve learned these lessons the hard way planning their own wedding (hint: make sure the AC works if you’re getting married on a rooftop in July!). Combine a whirlwind engagement, an unfamiliar city and an interracial couple and forget it – there was simply no resource with the insight they needed to help them plan.
Even though their wedding was a blast, Carley and David realized better resources would have made planning their nuptials a lot less stressful. So they vowed to make wedding planning easy and fun for everyone else. For nearly 20 years we’ve helped millions of couples plan amazing, memorable weddings. You’re next!
