The Gift of a Honeymoon
With many couples marrying once they have made a home together, the ‘gift list’ has become somewhat outdated. Towel bales and toasters are off, and champagne breakfasts are on. But how do you broach the subject if you feel uncomfortable asking for cash?
The answer is to create a gift list based around your honeymoon. With close to 20 years of experience delivering on my clients’ holiday and honeymoon dreams, I’ve had the pleasure of arranging the most wonderful experiences – here are a few for you to consider:
Luxury airport transfers
Don’t start your honeymoon in the rain in an airport car park waiting for the shuttle. Having a chauffeur is a truly a treat, and a wonderfully relaxed way to begin your holiday. Couple this with being collected from the airport on the way home, and your honeymoon will feel like it’s been given a precious extra few hours.
Sunset suppers
I specialize in holidays to Mauritius which offers some of the most stunning natural scenery in the world. Whether on board a private yacht, or watching the sun go down from a private platform in the Indian Ocean, a private supper under the stars is truly unforgettable.
Spa treatments
Yes, you can have a spa break in the UK, but could you have a couple’s massage overlooking the ocean, or at the foot of a mountain surrounded by lush tropical trees? Your guests can make this happen for you.
Tuition for two
From yoga and meditation on a private deck or deserted beach to kite surfing and dedicated dives, give your guests the opportunity to provide you with a bespoke experience that you’ll remember forever.
Gifts and goodies
Some people love to feel that they’ve bought you something physical, so why not ask them to fill a basket of treats for you to enjoy when you arrive? Champagne is, of course, popular (and no doubt you will have developed a taste for it) but luxury robes, sunglasses, and beachwear can also be delivered directly to your suite.
